Abstract

In this pandemic era, Central Java is one of the 5 (five)
biggest cases of Covid-19. The results of studies conducted
on the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) type
of corona virus suggest that the corona virus can live up
to 72 hours on paper. Regarding the administration of
paper-based medical records, it is necessary to consider
the filing system. The aim of this research is to know
uniform management in managing the storage of medical
record documents for Covid-19 cases in health service
facilities / hospitals. Descriptive research method with a
sample size of 26 hospitals in Central Java. Comparing
pretest and posttest data and interviews. There are
storage support material designs to be tested in the form
of covid-19 stickers, surveillance sheets and infectious
plastics. The results of the study were that 26 (76.47%)
hospitals had provided Covid-19 patient services from 34
hospitals in Central Java. Understanding of the material
being educated in the community service program
22.31%. Understanding of the use of special storage
shelves for covid-19 case medical records increased by
56.92%. Understanding of the material being educated
in the community service program increased by 23, 08%,
understanding of the material exposed to the covid-19
virus on the Material Service Medical Record increased
15, 39%, the understanding of the material being educated
in the community service program increased by 30.77%.
The material conclusion can be implemented, but after the
material runs out, it cannot be continued because Hospital
Policy is still constrained by budget planning. There is a
relationship between material procurement planning and
the implementation of storing medical records for covid
cases (p = 0.017). Storage limits according to Reference
although it has not been confirmed in this study how long
the virus that causes COVID-19 can survive on objects
or surfaces, a total of 20 (76.92%) of the hospital stated
that storage of Medical Record from the 4-5 days Ward
could only be assembled. Suggestions need to be made
of policies from each hospital regarding planning for
procurement of stickers, surveillance sheets and infectious
plastics, as well as time for managing medical records for
covid-19 cases
